Went to the Council in Kurimoto for a welcome ceremony, was very cute!
The we arrived at Kurimoto school where me and paige and the rest of the students met their hosts.
Paige and i are staying with a girl Maya, we think she is a tom boy but a really really nice girl!! We also met her family this afternoon, she has 3 brothers 2 are married with children and are all really nice people... her brothers are all good looking! hehe

Dinner was a bit of a culture shock for me and paige, we ate raw prawns, and other kinda of fish and other meat, we hadnt tryed it untill tonight though im really glad we did because it didnt taste as bad as i imagined!

A family friend came over for dinner also to meet me and paige. We then sat up for hours talking... well trying to talking since we couldnt really understand each other.. i tested out my japanese and they tested out their english and if worst came to worst we just played charades and acted out what we were trying to say! was so fun and an absolute crack up!!

The brothers also bought fire works and we spent time out in the yard playing with them it was fun! and then when we ran out they took us out shopping for more in the middle of the night!

Ended up going to bed quite late though i could have stayed up all night!

Was an awsome day, im so lucky to have ended up with such an awsome host family!

will add pictures soon! i need to put them on to my computer!

We went to an observatory first thing this morning it was pretty good, un real view of tokyo!
CIMG3717.jpg

We went to Asakusa, this was one of my favourite places in japan was so cool! its a big long street that seems to go for miles with heaps and heaps of little shops and markets!
Then we all went shopping i spent sooo much money... ooops!
IMG_1813.jpg
(Entrance to Asakusa)

Later in the afternoon we went to Akihabara, we spent hours there, its known to most people as electrical city it is soo cool... sorry i know i have discribed alot of places as sooo cool but they were!
IMG_1816.jpg (on the street in Akihabara)

While me and some friends were sitting down i ran in to one of the aussies i met at disney land i was so excited and it was pretty incredible that we even seen each other again!

Some friends and i went for a coffee in a really nice little french (yes french) coffe shop and then later when we got back to the hostel we went for pizza at this really funky pizza shop down the bottom of our hostel.

then we went back to the room and i went for a shower and lost my watch:( wil have to go ask at the front desk!
funnyest thing in the bathroom on the mirror is a sign ill have to post a pic of on here later saying "Please do not wash hands, clothes or hair in the toilets" was hillarious!.. concidering it was above the basins im assuming they ment basins!

At about 11pm to night i got a knock at my bedroom door from one of the adults who came along on the trip to get dressed straight away we were going for coffee and shopping... believe it or not japan is just as busy at 11-12 at night as it is at 11-12 during the day, that was fun we went for a wander and found a starbucks not far from where we were staying.

Then when we got back to the hostel i couldnt seem to find any of the girls... i went up to the lounge area and found them all crowded around this young guy from Cambrige in England all mystifyed by him and drooling was so funny but later i found my self doing the same he was gorgeous and his accent drew us in haha the teachers had a hard time getting us away from him and back to our rooms... good on them for trying though!

Rang mum and dad tonight but forgot they were at Alice Cooper concert so i spoke to Uncle Brian, MItch and Teri, it was good to hear their voice!

anyway need sleep
goodnight!

CIMG2484.jpg
CIMG2536.jpg
CIMG2611.jpg
We found some 100Yen shops... i suggest people go to them if they are ever in japan they are unreal and great bargains!!

After seeing Hiroshima we then went to Kobe it was really cool, exept the teachers wanted us to do some science thing and me and paige couldnt be bothered so we just sat down and enjoyed the views!
We seen the Bridge which collapsed during a big earth quake it was pretty incredible.
CIMG2779.jpg
(ruins of the bridge that collapsed during the earthquake)
CIMG2775.jpg
(the new bridge built next to the collapsed one!)

After that we went shopping i went off on my own and looked around and mad friends with a really friendly japanese guy who owned a really cool clothing store who was so unbelievably excited to meet an Aussie, i felt like a celebrity it was funny, especially since everytime i walked back past his shop he would call out my name he would pronounce it Bleane Hickus and would wave histerically at me.

After spending the night last nght with out our luggage its apparently arriving in our hotel tonight thank god!

I really love this place!!

Here is something you really dont want to know but for the last hour me and paige have been trying to teach a friend staying in our hotel room how to use something i girl should already know how to use a tampon... sorry people i dont mean to offend anyone by saying this in my blog!

And before that we had to walk down to family mart, that shop is so awsome its like a mini supermarket or as my mate bianca calls it a "milk bar"

Anyway Chow for now!

Oh My God, its today im so excited.
I'm on the plane now, after quite an emotional time at the airport i never thaught id cry but i ended up howling as we went through getting out pass ports check and through security... was pretty funny sight now that i think about it!
CIMG1702.jpg
(this is all of us at the airport and our familys (before i started crying like crazy!)

CIMG1732.jpg
(joe, paige me and sam who is all blurry waiting to board the plane for what felt like years!!)

I got the window seat and im sitting next to my cousin and best mate paige and her friend sam. the take off was so scarey i was hyperventilating... i have never been on a plane before today!
Apparently we are 40,000 feet in the air according to the pilot... and he would know!.. having lunch now will write more later!

I cant decide if i like the air plane food.... we had chicken thigh fillet with honey mustard grain sauce, it was nice though some of the other stuff they gave us was gross.

We are out of Australia now i just seen out the window us flying over the out line of australia i filmed it! it looked so cool and surreal!

5:30pm
Still on the plane, its starting to get boring... i so cant sit down for this long so i have been wandering the plane pretty much non stop... not that you want to know but omg it is so hard to go to the toilet mid air.. it just doesnt work!
Paige makes things alot more fun she is a crack up.
im looking out the window and all i can see is white... we are currently inside a big fat cloud!

6:15pm
STILL ON THE PLANE!!......
been flying since 12pm, we are watching the aviator on the big screen, its pretty good.. passing the time anyway!
Its still very bright and sunny out side its weird because by now it would be dark in Australia!
We went through turbulance about 10 minutes ago i just about shat my pants (excuse the expression! but its true) was so scary the plane was bouncing all over the place but its over now thank god!.

8:05pm (japan local time)
Finally we are here i can see japan and we are flying down to the airport now!! soooo exciting!!

10:10pm
Finally at the Caiton Hotel in Shin-Osaka! just arrived in room its huge compared to everyone elses.. somehow they made a mistake and our room is bigger than everyones!

goodnight!
